after 2 weeks nya dito sa bicol, paalis na naman si ate che for work. :(

this lady is more than a cousin, she's like a sister who is unselfishly willing to lend her helping hands anytime. i grew up at their house so we were really like sisters, her parents are like my second mom and dad. in fact, even after i married, i would always get the same "nene" treatment that i always enjoyed. nene meaning like a baby.

ate che sent me a message a while ago saying something about "our pictures", then i felt a sudden stab of pain because i just realized her plane is leaving in just 4 hours! im going to miss her a lot!! went through a lot of fun during her stay, parang ang bilis ng panahon.

by the way...ate che, im glad di ka pinayagan magwork overseas kasi mas lalong nakkamiss yun! til next time!!!

tomorrow is a start of something new...im going to start dieting again! this is my nth attempt to get rid of some bulge. last february, i succeeded in my goal of losing weight but then again, the lack of enthusiasm hits the scene so i look like this fat lady on my right side now.

im going to take everything slowly, perhaps after 2 months that is the only time when i'll expect the result to be visible.

here's what im going to do:

exercise two times a week
eat oatmeal for breakfast, 1 cup of rice during lunch, full merienda, no dinner.
drink cosmobody (lols may daya talaga no?)

tapos na exam ni tifa kanina lang kaya ngkayayaan pumunta sa mall; kami ni tifa then si chloe saka mom nya. si chloe yung bata na ka-YM ni tifa dito sa bahay, kaFacebook, at kaFriendster nya. saan ka pa diba?

while ngpapaalam na kami, si chloe pala e humawak sa hawakan ng escalator. buti nga napansin namin na dindala na sya pataas. imagine she is not inside the escalator kundi dun sa labas! e isipin nyo na lang kung ano ngyari. buntis pa naman mom nya kaya di namin maalis bigla bigla kasi nga si chloe umiiyak na din at nasa taas na.

buti na lang hindi nakadiretso sa pinkamataas.

Dear baby boy,

Don’t think that mom won a million. I have to buy all those toys, foods, balloons, etc all at the same time because you are turning 2 tomorrow. I guess you don’t know what ‘birthday’ means. Boy please doesn’t think that it’s something sad just because mom is crying when she hugged and greeted you a “happy birthday”. Much more than the yelling and shrieking during labor, birthday is the time of the year when God finally allowed moms and dads or just moms or just dads to finally have an angel who will lighten their burden during their grueling journey here on earth. Someday, you are going to be a parent too. In that time, you will realize why mommy cries while she is looking at you now. Crying is not always a sign of pain, sometimes you’ll find that it’s about being ‘happy’ no matter how ironic this may seem.

I thank God for being so good to me. You are one of those many proofs of HIS unconditional love. I kept on praying unceasingly back then, particularly to Infant Jesus of Prague and San Ramon Nonato to give me a boy; I need a boy not just because I crave for one but because I need to HAVE one. Then the ultrasound confirmed your gender but the doctors said that you are in breach position. I then asked God to keep you safe and if He will permit, I hoped back then that you’ll turn to the right position so I can still go for normal delivery. Then you did, after just one week of prayers. You are not just a “son”, you are a proof of God’s miracles.

I could not wish for anything because you are exactly what I wanted you to be. I will not try to rule your life although I have the attitude of being one; I promise that I will be there for you all the times like the way I make it a point to be there for you during your checkups, during the nights and days when you are sick, during the long hours of crying. I will always be there for you even on simple matters like how I consistently give your vitamins; how I make sure that I am the one who gives you bath each morning and night even though you have your yaya to do the job. I will never allow anyone to take my place, I promise that I will stay strong physically and emotionally so you won’t find anything lacking in your life. I will always be proud of you like the way I shriek in joy when I learned that you can actually count 1-10 although you are just turning two! I will be the one who will bring and fetch you from school like the way I do with ‘ate’. We will go to school together and I will continue to be there until the time you can do it alone. I will and will always be your number one fan Trife. And most of all, I will never grow tired of giving my elbows just for you to sleep comfortably at night.

Although I may seem to work like a juggler at times and frustratingly messing in this work of balancing every aspect of life; you will never ever be bothered with my failures, you will never see me weak. Believe it when I told you that as prim and proper as I am, I can actually blow someone’s head off when I need to just for you and ate. The two of you are the healthiest relationship I ever had. Rest assured that I will take care of this gift forever. Thank you baby boy for choosing me as your mom.

for people who know me, im the kind of person who is not easily amused. although im highly emotional, i can be extremely insensitive sometimes. insensitive to issues. i was never a fan of tele novelas, of actresses and even actors who may bear the most gorgeous face i could ever see, of recent craze, etc...plainly, im BORING.

but i must admit, i simply idolize this woman.

she may exude a soft facade but deep within is a strong and firm woman. my respect for her started way back elementary days. my admiration blooms when i learned how to take part in every political upheavals are country is facing. my love for her started when i became a single mom, im highly amazed on how she was able to excellently raised her children while trying to juggle work, GOD, the country, and all.

ive been wanting to write something about her from the day i learned that she was severely ill. but i just couldnt because im afraid that later on, i might blog again abour her death. now, i found myself facing such fear..she is gone.

i can actually see my lola mary in tita cory. i dont know, its just that they resemble something, physically.

by the way, i was born in january 26 and im delighted to know that she is born on the 25th of january.

the beauty of being a mom

talking with ge, i can feel the skepticism that ive felt when i still have my baby bump with me. but then as my kiddos grow, i realized that they will actually show you how a mom should be. i realized that there is no perfect human, no perfect mom, wife, husband, son, daughter..although you will still get a taste of how perfect your life is.

yesterday, i went somewhere but then i made it a point to be home before 10:30pm because i know tifa and trife will not go to bed without me. sometimes, i would even tease tifa that i'll go overseas and live with mickey mouse in disneyland and to make up with my absence, i would just send her 10 barbie dolls each month. lols she would say "no mommy, no barbie. mel (means charmelle, referring to herself) miss (misses) you mommy". aww my heart melts. anyway, back last night when i arrived, i saw them sitting on the bed while watching Dibo in playhouse disney. when they saw me, tifa shouted with glee "yes, mommy here na baby boy! pede na kami meme mommy?" then trife saw the box of donuts i have on my hands and said "wow not. yum yum" (wow donut, yummy).

i almost laugh. i realized that as boring as i am, these two kids actually depended so much on me. tifa refuses to drink her meme not until the 3 of us recited our night's prayer. trife on the other hand cant sleep without my elbows near his nose. haha

plus, you'll get the consolation of hearing your kids learn so much from life. tifa would recite our before-meal prayer. she would say: "Jesus, thank you for the food. Bless the food that we are about to eat in Jesus name..Amen". i always smile when she recites this because even though she cant properly pronounce the words, she was able to memorize the line. trife is a big fan of spiderman that i swear im going to let him learn karate someday and im amuse that he is no afraid of anything..even insects! eek! he eats a lot that he never gave her mommy any hard time when feeding time arrives.

so there ge, thats the beauty of being a mom!

this is a personal favorite. actually, this is the very first poem that i was able to memorize back then. i remember i recited this for Couples for Christ program but since i was still little back then, i never really understood its meaning. but just this night, the words "forget and forget it helps you live but no man can help you die" keep on ringing on my head, so i tried to search for the whole version of the poem. here it goes:

i have friends who will not allow me to do a thing which will harm me in the end.

do you even know your father? why are you confuse in using your surname like the way youre confuse with your life? dont tell me you have two fathers. i'll tell you a secret, my father happens to love me despite everything. he wouldnt mind fetching me at the middle of the night just to make sure his only daughter is safe. im not even permitted to stay at other's place like the way you do.

are you financially stricken? i couldnt understand why you have to bring your two sisters over somebody's apartment and let his friends (after he dumped you) pay for your rent. how come you have to live with men who can give you the money that you need?

why are you pushing yourself to somebody when in the first place, you are not being loved? you know the fact but you failed to open your eyes. you know this very well. you know this when he keeps on shouting at you and throwing your things outside. dont ask why i know these facts, i have more eyes than you do.

Salalima Reunion

holy week is memorable for me. we had our Salalima-Layson-Santayana reunion. as expected tito rudy (the one in the picture) who is the VP of Globe gave too many cell phones.haha malas ko wala ako kahit isa :( though may shirt naman ako from him but i want a phone sana!haha

daming tao, dami pala akong kamag-anak. what i love most about this clan is our closeness ; talking about ate che, ate shie, and ate honey.

the reunion was held sa waterfront heights which is also owned by one of our titos. sa mga taong gusto mgbakasyon sa bikol, visit nyo na lang place nila. ok dito lalo na for retreats. masyado secluded yung place. shameless plugging! haha

trife's suffering from too much coughing to the point that he would vomit. this morning, his temperature rise to 39 degrees celsius. we went to his pedia, who happen to be my aunt so she opened her clinic even during sunday just for us (big thanks doc ciocson!).

she's afraid it will develop to pneumonia so i need to play 'doctor' right now. bbye!

just because the man lost his physical stregth because of his illness, does not mean that you can go and beat him up when you are angry. and look what you've done to your wife, i could almost laugh my ass out the time when you gave her a dirty sign. you are a waste l*** and you'll never get any respect from me!

tomorrow is my birthday and tomorrow is Chinese New Year. Fortunately, this is the year of the ox which is also my animal sign, how lucky can i get?

for one, this is good for the brain and heart. i also read that this can help lessen the chance of cancer. i have the passion of squeezing the liquid just to know if it will leak or what hehe. and by the way, this is also good for our vision. i just dont like its smell though. i get my supply from south star drug and i take it MWF and Sunday.

back then, im a fern-c user but since i could not always get my supply, i shifted to rhea which is a whole lot cheaper than the first. im taking this 2x a day, everyday. i need it because im very prone to colds.

three months ago, i would always complain that my back hurts like crazy so i tried using calcium supplements. now im fine so i stopped it though i still have my supplies until now. i wonder what i can do to these spare supplements? i wonder if i can apply it on my face like how aspirin can clear out pimples.lol

i love adobong snipe and fried version just like the one in the picture. sadly, snipe are rarely found but when we do, we eventually grab the chance specially if we're heading to Polangui.

im pissed right now. ive been an online buyer for a quite a time and through it all, ive encountered lots of conflicting personalities. from a seller who is willing to ship an unpaid item to a seller who has loads of excuses why the item is delayed. simply put, im no longer a novice in this game.

just recently, i've purchased an item online (after months of stopping myself to do so because my last transaction was way behind my expectation). actually, i was not ready to purchase the item but since he was persuasive enough, i gave in. i told him that i'll pay monday at 5pm. sunday, he texted asking me if im going to pay that day. he was too persuasive i must say.

to save him from the hassle of asking all over again, monday morning i paid the item. during the night, i saw a blog post on his site with my name on it. it was some kind of his 'organizer' to keep track of purchases and shipped items. it read "item shipped to _(my name)____ via xend" so knowing that everything is settled, i was comforted enough that the item will arrive the next day.

then came tuesday..

wednesday...

and now...

no item on sight! actually, i know this is NOT a case of just-another-scammer but all im asking is that you give me the tracking number! its that easy..i texted you twice yesterday and you did not even dare answering. i inquired thru pm and ym but you just replied, 'naship na po".

another thing, i was kinda pissed on LBC, i went to their office a while a go to inquire. and for goodness sake, they do not know XEND express. knowing that items shipped from XEND express (manila) are delivered to LBC ( legazpi ) since the former doesnt have a branch here. duh!

my feet's throbbing from a whole day of fun.

tovin is a brother and friend wrapped in wonderful package. he's not the usual boy out there, all his life he is fighting a hard battle. beneath his jolly physical appearance is a boy who is struggling hard to live a normal life despite his illness (congenital heart disease).

i've always been proud of him, he may be weak physically but he possesses a huge deal of strength to live life normally despite all. never a second did i hear him complain illness. he is unselfish.

it started friday of last week. i keep on feeling as if im about to catch a fever but im not hot at all though there are times in a day that im really hot.literally. i dont know whats wrong with me but im not fine. my head is too heavy. my back is aching.i have flu. BUT all of these feelings are merely temporary, they last for merely half an hour and they're gone.

tried taking paracetamol already. tomorrow i'll have myself examined.

Address: 16 guyabano st umali rd. summitville subdivision putatan muntinlupa city 1770 He was last seen at Tom's World Arcade in Festival Mall Alabang, around 8pm yesterday July 22, 2008 wearing Green Checkered Polo, Maong pants and Green Mr. Bean Slippers. When we reviewed the surveillance camera in said mall, there was this chubby impoverished looking girl around 12-13 years old wearing a dirtied pink top with floral design and a reddish jogging pants who summoned my nephew and then whispered something to him, then my pamangkin who is very "bibo" readily took her hand as they went out of the said premises. Guys, I need your help with this, if you know people in the media, police or government agency who might be able to HELP us locate my nephew, I'm begging you, please, please help us. Or at the very least, please pass this message to as many people as possible, who knows where the abductors might have taken him... Congrats we’re finally freed from the possession of the unknown being that happens to mask themselves with human features!

I should be laughing right now, but I can’t.

I can’t not because I’m crying over the meager money or because I so love their management. Hell not! I could not believe we had been victimized with chauvinism, insincerity, hypocrisy and pretense!
